We talk of finding 'ourselves',
a well worn phrase
suggesting a search
for identity, meaning, or more often
freedom. Like bluebells,
it floats away
as we land amongst
the waifs and strays.

Values are kicked to the kerb,
Nerves frayed by years
Of Searching For Something -
